Services We Offer

At A Squared Management, we assume complete responsibility for the management and operations of your commercial facility.  This includes, but not limited to: the opening and closing of seasonal pools, chemical maintenance and supplies, staffing, and payroll.  The variety of services we offer allows for the proper management and day-to-day care of your facility.  Our unique business model permits flexibility to structure a detailed management plan around each individual customer. Giving A Squared Management the responsibility of all pool operations frees up your personnel, management, and maintenance staffs.

Pool Management and Lifeguard Services

We hire, schedule, pay and manage lifeguard staff for your pool.  To make your pool safe, we provide lifeguard certification training, perform safety audits and provide safety communications throughout the season. In addition, our certified pool operators will ensure a healthy swimming environment for your pool community.

At A-Squared we have a tiered, in season supervision plan in place to provide the facility with the best services possible.  Our company structure supports our employees to have successful days at your facilities and trains them to improve their performance each shift.  

 

The tiered system begins with the lifeguard at your pool.  We ensure that they are properly trained by holding a pre-season refresher course and mandatory trainings throughout the season.  They have the support of our managers and other pool operators.

 

The next level includes our Head Lifeguards, Lifeguard Managers, and Training Coordinator. Our Head Lifeguards act as a direct outlet to our guards to help them if they ever have any questions on protocol or just need advice.  The Lifeguard Managers ensures that our guards are given an appropriate platform to be successful.  They will remain in direct contact with our guards and perform unannounced observations to maintain a certain level of accountability and address any issues quickly and professionally.  Our Training Coordinator makes sure that our guards stay up to date with all of the latest lifeguarding skills.

Pool Openings

Cleaning prior to pool opening is to include:

  • Removal and sanitation of the pool cover

  • Reassembling and starting of filtration system

  • Providing all necessary Chlorine and Ph chemicals

  • Brushing of pool walls and floors to remove debris

  • Reinstallation of automatic chlorinator

  • Inspection of pool surface and coping for any loss of integrity

  • Installation of ladders and handrails

  • Safety inspection and placement of safety equipment in pool area

  • Ensuring the presence of proper markings, signs, and safety equipment as mandated by the State Sanitary Code for Public Recreation Bathing

  • Preseason water sampling

  • All State and local documentation required to opening

  • Power washing and acid washing

Ongoing Pool Maintenance

Our general services include, but are not limited to:​

  • State mandated weekly water sampling Monitoring of filtration systems

  • Backwashing of filter system, as necessary

  • Maintenance of proper water levels and chemistry (saturation index);

  • Vacuuming of pool

  • Brushing of the pool

  • Emptying of the skimmer baskets

  • Cleaning pool tiles

  • Keeping the pool and pump areas free of debris

  • Securing the Facility when unattended by locking filter room doors and pool gate

Pool Closings

  • Blowing and plugging all pipes, antifreeze application

  • Dropping pool water to appropriate level

  • Draining pump and motor and removing necessary plugs

  • Draining all filtration equipment and removing all plugs, as necessary

  • Draining all chemical feeders

  • Leaving all valves at appropriate

  • Removing, cleaning, and storing all skimmer baskets

  • Removing and storing all handrails and ladders

  • Cleaning and storing all vacuuming equipment

  • Adding proper chemicals for winterization
